I am impressed by people who can model reality accurately. This work is part of my infinite learning process:
teaching my hands to make what I see, an ongoing study. This time at an enlarged scale to emphasise their delicacy and expressiveness.
For me, gesture is where character begins. A gesture is precise, physical, and immediate. It communicates without explanation.
I am interested in gestures because they exist before words. They are learned through observation and repetition, not through theory.
